AGNÈS LANGLOIS

CELLIST

Agnès Langlois began studying the cello at the age of 4 with Kirsten Madsen. At 9 years of age, she joined the class of Carole Sirois at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. Since 2006, she has participated in many competitions, such as the Concours du Choeur de la Montagne (Grand Winner of the 2013 and 2017 editions and 1st prize winner of the 7-17 years old and 18-21 years old categories) and the Canadian Music Competition (national finalist in 2008, 2009 and from 2011 to 2014). In 2014, she participated in the semi-finals of the OSM Standard Life Competition. Agnès has worked with internationally renowned teachers such as Hans Jorgen Jensen, Yegor Dyachkov and Michel Strauss. In February 2019, she participated in the Institute for Orchestral Studies of Ottawa’s National Arts Center Orchestra. Agnès completed her Graduate diploma at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in 2018, receiving a Grand Distinction prize.

 

She has just completed a Graduate diploma in performance at the Université de Montréal with Yegor Dyachkov. Agnès is a cellist with the Ensemble Volte and co-founder of the Festival Unisson.
