CHARLOTTE PARADIS
VIOLIST
Born in Québec City, Charlotte Paradis pursued her studies at the Conservatoire de musique de Québec with Professor François Paradis, where she was awarded a unanimous prize in chamber music. She later completed a Performer’s Diploma at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, studying with Professor Atar Arad, whom she met during her many residencies at the Domaine Forget Academy.
During her studies, Charlotte had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec and, as a chamber musician, with the Trio Frontenac and at the Musique de chambre à Ste-Pétronille Festival. She has participated in masterclasses with, among others, Antoine Tamestit, Jean Sulem, James Dunham, and Paul Silverthorne. In 2017, she took part in a masterclass given by the Villecroze Musical Academy in France. She also regularly joins the Orchestre symphonique de Québec as an extra musician.
Charlotte performs with a François Lotte bow, generously loaned by the CANIMEX INC. Foundation.
