GUILLAUME VEILLET
CELLIST
Guillaume started the cello at the age of 12. A few months of training were enough to allow him to start studying at the Conservatoire de Trois-Rivières, where he completed a preparatory Diploma and a DEC in cello performance. During this period, he occasionally attended masterclasses with Brian Manker, principal cellist of the OSM. In May 2019, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in cello performance at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal with Carole Sirois. He made several trips to the Domaine Forget Academy and Orford International Academy, where he was lucky enough to learn from eminent cellists such as Emmanuel Bertrand, Yegor Dyachkov and Brian Manker. Since he completed his studies, he has been involved in several projects with various ensembles. Artistic Coordinator and cellist for Ensemble Volte, he also plays for Mehdi Bahmad, Maxime Auguste, David Portelance and Fany Dumais, with whom he recorded an EP.
