Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, violist Karen Duong is a dynamic and vibrant musician.

 

Karen is a recent 2021 graduate from The Glenn Gould School’s Artist Diploma Program where she studied with Steven Dann as a full-scholarship recipient of The Marilyn & Charles Baillie Family Scholarship. She also holds a Bachelors Degree from Western University, where she studied with Sharon Wei and graduated with distinction as the university’s 2019 Gold Medalist for Music Performance.

Karen is currently playing on a beautiful custom-made viola made by Toronto luthier, John Newton.
